Stopped at a mom and pop grocery store on the way home today. Bought some slightly overpriced brats and buns. Goddamn amazing. Support local business. Now I regret not buying the lamb chops. Always next week.

We had some cheap Aldi's brats recently and they were damn good. Surprised me.

That photo is messing with me or something. The green above the roof is just not right.

I'm generally pretty budget-minded, but bratwurst and steaks are always worth paying extra for.

Aldi is German, it better be good for a grocery store brand wurst.

Aldi is a cheap grocery store. So cheap they have a coin bank with chain connected to cart. Insert quarter releases chain so you can take cart inside store to shop. Put food in car, return cart, hook chain back up, remove quarter.

Also no bags. https://www.aldi.us/en/weekly-spec…

Doesn't mean the food is shit. But for the good stuff I skip grocery stores, there are plenty of German and Polish run butchershops in my area that make quality Wurst.

It really depends on what you buy there. Some of the food is shit. Some is good.

All this brat talk makes me want to make some this week. I think I will. & try a butcher around here instead of grocery like you said.

Nice rat rod. I do wonder though - how much would it coat to make something similar, but without being so incredibly low riding.

I've noticed a big difference in beef cuts at a butcher vs. a grocery store. You may pay a ton more but it's worth it for a special occasion.
